Nora Quoirin: How the search for missing 15-year-old London girl is unfolding
250 people are looking for Nora Quoirin near the Malaysian resort where the family were staying and the dense jungle around it.
In the steaming heat of the jungle, a group of rescue workers are silently praying.
Heads bowed, hands clasped, they hope that today will be the day they find Nora. It's now the fifth day of the search, but these men are still hopeful of finding her alive.
They're still searching the 12 acres around the Dusun Resort where
the Quoirin family are staying, but they're steadily expanding into the
dense jungle around the hotel.Heads bowed, hands clasped, they hope that today will be the day they find Nora. It's now the fifth day of the search, but these men are still hopeful of finding her alive.
Around 250 people are now looking for her.
A policeman tells me he's only had two hours sleep a night since she was reported missing.
The Dusun resort is set in the heart of the forest, shielded from view by rubber and fruit trees in the foothills of the Titiwangsa mountains.
It's popular with international tourists and affluent Malaysians.
A group of houses cluster around a swimming pool on the edge of a hill. All around it are steep drops and narrow tracks leading into hilly terrain.
The resort is enclosed by wire fence, but police say there are gaps.
Everybody who could possibly help has been brought in, from local villagers to dog teams from Kuala Lumpur.
But police have so far not found any sign of Nora in this inhospitable terrain.
